Leyburn is a market town and civil parish in the district of Richmondshire, North Yorkshire, England, sitting above the northern bank of the River Ure in Wensleydale. Wensleydale Railway. Cat Pottery. Middleham Castle, Middleham. Forbidden Corner, Coverham. Bolton Castle, Castle Bolton. Jervaulx Abbey. Leyburn is also famed for its weekly markets taking place every Friday. The weekly market is a real traditional local produce market bustling with visitors. Market stalls sell everything from handmade chocolates to fine cheeses, preserves and gluten free cakes. The town also hosts a farmers’ market on the fourth Saturday of every month.
Just 2 miles from Leyburn and home to a magnificent medieval castle, Middleham in Wensleydale hosts its weekly market every Sunday.
